Seed, a daily synbiotic subscription, masters customer retention through their subscriptions in both their emails and on their website. The company rewards customers for subscribing by giving them 15% off of their first subscription shipment (the cost of each subscription after the first month is $49.99/month).

In the first delivery, Seed gifts customers with a branded reusable glass jar and glass travel vial. Their sustainable packaging, made from mushrooms and cornstarch, provides a delightful unboxing experience for your first shipment.

The packaging in the subsequent subscription deliveries only includes the pills in a compostable biofilm, wrapped in a biodegradable material that dissolves in your sink. This is illustrated in the above video on their product page.

At the two month mark, you receive a custom email about how after 66 days your brain forms a habit and you’re finally at a milestone of taking their probiotics. Seed reinforces the benefits of taking probiotics and how important it is to make probiotics part of your daily routine.

When it’s time to cancel your subscription, Seed takes the time to ask customers for feedback and collect data before they go to inform how they can make a better subscription experience for future customers.
