Glow Recipe, a clean and fruit-forward Korean skincare brand, incorporates subscription upsells, product recommendations, and social good initiatives into their cart to increase conversion and average order value (AOV) rates.
Glow Recipe’s cart includes a progress bar at the top that fills up as customers add products to cart, incentivizing them to add more to ultimately unlock free shipping. Product upsells are also included toward the bottom of the mini-cart, as another opportunity for customers to add more to their order.
If a customer adds a subscription item, a frequency dropdown is present for them to decide how often they would like the product delivered, along with a reminder of the 10% discount and free shipping perk of subscribing. If a customer chooses to buy a one-time purchase, they can easily switch to a subscription by toggling a checkbox in the cart.
Glow Recipe’s partnership with BEAM Impact encourages customers to select a nonprofit within the mini-cart that 1% of their purchase will be donated to, at no extra cost to them. The donation is confirmed on the order confirmation page, which shows the customer the impact of their contribution, as well as the impact of Glow Recipe’s community as a whole on the initiative.
