Skincare with a Purpose: How Glow Recipe Boosts Conversion & AOV with their Mini-Cart
Spicewalla, offers everyone, from home chefs to restaurateurs, access to fresh spices, roast and ground. They encourage product discovery and conversion through their promotional and abandoned cart emails.
When a prospective Spicewalla customer has added products to their cart and has signed up for email on the site, they receive three branded abandoned cart emails. The first says ‘See you at Checkout’ which is a gentle nudge for customers to check out. A day later, the second abandoned cart email gives customers a little more urgency through the headline ‘Catch Your Cart’. This email uses the same template with the exception of the title, illustration, and description copy.
The last email offers a discount code for free shipping, as a final attempt to encourage the customer to check out.
When a subscriber first signs up for Spicewalla’s email marketing, they are welcomed to the brand, learn who the founder is and what products are their best sellers, and rewarded with a 10% welcome discount code for signing up. As with all successful branded, high-converting emails, Spicewalla uses a mix of graphics and live text so that customers can easily select the promo code and paste it in their cart.
The second email in their welcome series highlights customer’s feedback about their best selling products including a screenshot of reviews directly from their website. Spicewalla ends the email with a recipe which can help convert customers from through a shoppable blog article.
At the bottom of every email, Spicewalla provides a path to their core spice categories: Spices&Herbs, Blends & Rubs, Collaborations, and Recipes & Tips.
