Bombas, a New York City-based sock and apparel company on a mission to create the world’s best everyday socks, increases their conversions through their optimized cart.

The cart includes a shipping bar that dynamically updates when customers add new products to the cart. When customers receive free shipping, they see the congratulatory message “Score. Your order qualifies for free US shipping,” letting them know that they have earned free shipping. To increase a customer’s average order value (AOV, Bombas features a cross sell that compliments the products in your cart.

There is also an option for gifting directly in the cart, allowing customers to easily add a gift message and gift wrap. When users select ‘Make A Gift’ it launches a gifting flow offering multiple ways for customers to gift their Bombas.

Bombas considers everything, even the experience when a customer has not added anything to their cart. They use the empty cart state as an opportunity to get customers to learn about their free shipping policy and shop their primary categories: Womens, Mens, and Kids.
